Character devlopment

These are some more images of some dogs that I am putting together in Illustrator to animate. In this one I have added far more layers so that I can animate it in a much more realistic way.
I am taking my time doing the dog characters at the moment as I think these are the most important to get right. I want to do as many as I can in the time I have so that I have a real range to play around with for the final animation.
I am working in silhouettes, as, I think that they have far more room for animation without it looking too unrealistic.
This is a dog that I have separated into ears, leg joints... neck.
