So for the storyboard session with Fred we were asked to come up with type ideas to start off our storyboarding.
I decided to use both typefaces that came with photoshop... and I also looked into different ones downloaded from the internet.
SNAP -
For this I wanted to start off looking at fonts that I could actually break up. Breaking up both the word and the letters themselves to start off looking at simple ways of visually communicating the word. I want to try out different types of lettering, to really get into perspective what I want to do... so, both serif and sans.
I like the idea of playing around with type that is already broken up... such as the stencil std example. I will find some more similar versions.
EXTEND -
I feel that this would work a lot better with a clean, crisp typeface to really get the extension of the letters, both horizontally across the frame... and vertically, actually manipulating the letterforms, also playing around with extending serifs.
ZOOM -
There is so much more scope with zoom... you could combine anything, as it does not depend on the spacing of the letters so much. I could focus on the whole word at once as well as each individual letter.
I am going to have fun with this one.
